Bellows Falls man nabbed for 3 bank robberies in 2 days
BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - A Bellows Falls man faces federal charges after authorities say he pulled off three bank robberies in two days. According to court documents, Stephen Loewe, 42, walked into the M&T Bank in Springfield Tuesday morning and demanded cash. Later that afternoon, he went to the Claremont Savings Bank in Springfield and handed the teller a note demanding $500. He then stole a car from a gas station.
