Man arrested for weapon violation in Monroe County subdivision after multiple gunshots heard in the area
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said a man was arrested for a weapons violation in a suburb of Frenchtown Township. He was found to be intoxicated while carrying a 9 mm Glock handgun, the sheriff’s office said.
‘Organized crime ring’ getting cash from self-checkout machines
Management at a big-box general retail store contacted Woodhaven police to expose an “organized crime ring” targeting their business. Police were called to Walmart, 23800 Allen Road, after management uncovered a team of six people coming into the store and using the self-checkout machines to get a kickback of cash.

Sheriff’s Office Investigating Breaking & Entering at Dundee Vehicle Dealership
Dundee, MI – Monroe County Sheriff Troy Goodnough is reporting a breaking and entering that occurred at Williams Brothers Dodge Chrysler Ram in the Village of Dundee. On July 3rd, at around 5 AM, Monroe County Central Dispatch received an alarm activation at the dealership. Within several minutes the first deputy arrived on scene to find the business had been broken into. Soon additional deputies arrived and a thorough search of the property was made.
