July 20: A village resident was charged at 12:05 a.m. with aggravated DWI and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, both misdemeanors, after an officer observed a vehicle mount a curb and get stuck on it in the Shoppers Park parking lot. The man was booked at the Green Street precinct and released pending an appearance in Mount Kisco Justice Court.
Medicaid Fraud Uncovered / Connecticut Man Found Guilty Of Ripping Off System To The Tune Of More Than $80,000
A Connecticut man has been found guilty of defrauding Medicaid out of more than $80,000. 56 year old Andrew Golden, a mental health counselor in New Canaan, pleaded no contest to health insurance fraud. As part of his plea deal, Golden received a fully suspended three-year sentence and five years of conditional discharge. He is barred from acting as a Medicaid provider. Golden was arrested last December for billing Medicaid for sessions that never occurred. The investigation revealed that Golden submitted false claims, collecting $80,320 in payments.
Arrest Warrant: New Canaan Man, 45, Pointed Gun at Woman
Police last week arrested a 45-year-old New Canaan man by warrant after receiving multiple reports of violent abuse, court records show. The victim told authorities that he pointed a gun at her while she was at the man’s Parade Hill Road home last October following an event in New York City, according to an arrest warrant application filed by New Canaan Police and signed July 22 by a state Superior Court judge.

Carmel Man Faces Felony Charges After Crime Spree in Somers
SOMERS, N.Y. - A Carmel man is looking at multiple felony charges after a crime spree in Somers earlier this month. The suspect fled the area before officers arrived, but was spotted stealing a nearby vehicle by another resident. The vehicle was found unoccupied in Carmel, and Kennon was apprehended at a nearby apartment complex with assistance from the Carmel Police Department. Kennon was arraigned in Somers Town Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. He is due back in court on August 5.
