SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) — An East Hartford man is accused of stealing a 2005 Bobcat skid steer in South Windsor then selling it on Facebook Marketplace.

South Windsor police arrested Justin M. Dailey, 34, Thursday on an active arrest warrant after he allegedly stole a 2005 Bobcat skid steer from Arthur Drive and Foncine Lane in January 2024.

The owner of the Bobcat had located the skid steer for sale in Middleboro, Mass. and it was recovered by South Windsor and Middleboro police, according to authorities.

Police said Dailey had put the skid steer up for sale and the person in Middleboro had purchased it from him via Facebook Marketplace.

Dailey was released on a $10,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Aug. 7.
