Kane Brown Issues Apology After a Fire Disrupts His Sold-Out Fenway Park Show, Fans Exit to “We Didn’t Start the Fire”
After establishing a massive social media following, Kane Brown broke onto the country music scene with his 2015 hit “Used to Love You Sober.” In October 2017, the Tennessee native became the first artist to achieve simultaneous No. 1 hits on all five main Billboard country charts. Recently Brown, 30, played his second sold-out show at Boston’s historic Fenway Park. Unfortunately, the “Miles On It” singer had to cut his Saturday (July 20) show short after a small fire broke out near the stage. Now, Brown is speaking out about the incident.
Berklee College of Music Appoints Next President
Music industry executive Jim Lucchese will begin the role as of January 1, 2025. Massachusetts’s Berklee College of Music has appointed Jim Lucchese as its fifth president, effective as of January 1, 2025. Until Lucchese officially begins the role, Berklee’s provost, David Bogen, will continue serving as interim president; Betsy Newman, senior vice president of student enrollment and engagement, will remain as interim executive vice president.
Westfield Woman Given Probation for Hoax Bomb Threat at Boston Children's Hospital
A Westfield woman has been handed a probation sentence after pleading guilty to making a hoax bomb threat towards Boston Children's Hospital. Catherine Leavy, 37, was placed on a three-year probation by U.S. District Court Judge Leo T. Sorokin on July 18, 2024. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, she admitted to one count of making a false bomb threat and one count of intentionally conveying false or misleading information regarding an impending bomb on the healthcare facility.
