Loyola’s Roman Qualifies For U.S. Amateur
CONCORD, Mass. – Loyola rising senior Jackson Roman qualified for the U.S. Amateur Championship on Monday, tying for first in a final qualifier at Concord Country Club. Roman shot a bogey-free 5-under 65 on Monday on the 6,703-yard, par-70 course to tie Bryson Richards and James Imai for medalist honors at the qualifier. He will play in his first U.S. Amateur at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota, starting on August 12. Roman will join his future teammate, Eli Spaulding, at the tournament.
