Date Issued:  7/17/23 at 9:20am local

Forecast: An upper-level low moving in out of the west will cause strong upper lifting from Lucerne Valley, Barstow, and north into the Fort Irwin areas.  This will also cause thunderstorms to form near or right on top of the metro Las Vegas strip.  Due to the strong downdraft instability, high winds can be expected in the form of microbursts within the storms today.
