SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Two Waterbury residents were arrested for driving in a stolen vehicle outside of a Moe’s restaurant in Southington.

2nd suspect arrested for Waterbury homicide

Keon Jesi Mayes, 21, and Xavion Dwight McMillan, 20, were arrested on Friday when they were spotted in a 2018 BMW 750 that had eluded a police officer a few weeks prior. Police discovered that the vehicle was a stolen motor vehicle out of New York.

Mayes was in the vehicle when police approached, but McMillan was in the Moe’s Southwest Grille on Queen Street in Southington. When McMillan approached the vehicle, police attempted to detain him, and he allegedly tried to run away on foot, but was shortly taken into custody near the front entrance of the restaurant.

Police found two guns while searching the vehicle, one registered to McMillan and one unregistered.
