    5 juveniles charged after shoplifting from Southington CVS

    SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Five juveniles were arrested shortly after midnight on June 17 after police were called to a CVS for an active shoplifting incident.

    According to a release from police Thursday, officers were notified that four males wearing masks had just shoplifted items from the drugstore chain and had left the scene in a white Nissan sedan.

    Two arrested for stolen vehicle, firearm possession in Southington

    After surveying the area, officers were able to locate the described vehicle parked at a nearby Exxon Gas Station at the 600 block of Queen Street.

    Five juveniles were found occupying the vehicle and were detained while police conducted an on-site investigation.

    Police found that the vehicle, a Nissan Altima, was confirmed to be stolen out of Bridgeport a day earlier.

    Security footage verified all of the juveniles involvement in the alleged shoplifting and they were placed under arrest.

    Each were charged with sixth-degree conspiring to commit larceny, with certain parties receiving varying larceny and interfering with an officer charges.

    All juveniles were released to their respective guardians and appeared at Bridgeport Juvenile Court at a later date.
