    The Fourth of July, for me, marks the middle of summer. This year, it feels like the first weeks of summer leading up to the holiday have flown by. But, I'm sure that just means the weeks after will go even faster.

    Whether you celebrate by way of a backyard cookout, a day at the beach or at the N.C. 4th of July Festival in Southport, I hope you have a happy, safe holiday.
