    Missing 13-year-old from Michigan found safe in Washington

    GREEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A 13-year-old girl who was missing from Mecosta County has been found safe in Washington, deputies say.

    Around 10 p.m., Ella McGuire was found safe in Spanaway, Washington, which is about 45 miles south of Seattle. A 36-year-old man from Spanaway, who deputies suspect may have transported her there from her home in Michigan was arrested.

    The 13-year-old McGuire was last seen walking away from her home in Paris, Michigan last Wednesday. The Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office referred to her as a “runaway” and at the time said she may be with an “unknown adult male.”

    Investigation will continue, according to the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office.
