Biden campaign: New Biden housing policy could support tens of thousands of new housing units in La Crosse and Douglas Counties
This week, the Biden-Harris Administration announced new actions to repurpose federal land to build tens of thousands of affordable homes. President Biden is taking action that could result in as many as 6,000 new housing units built in Douglas County and as many as 10,000 new housing units built in La Crosse County. President Biden fixed Trump’s failed policies his first year in office, keeping over 4,000 Milwaukee renters in their homes during the pandemic. This renewed push will quickly build more housing that is affordable for working families, bring down energy costs, and protect local lands and waters.
