(KELO) — If pictures of a swastika at the South Dakota state capitol or in Deadwood disturb you, you’re far from alone. “What we know about this group and why they were showing up in South Dakota had to do with the state and its leadership in combating antisemitism,” said David Goldenberg, Midwest regional director for the Anti-Defamation League. “And look, they’ve made it very clear why they were there: their hateful ways, their antisemitic beliefs, that they’re ultimately trying to instill fear through intimidation and hate.”

BHSU names new dean of education
Black Hills State University has named a new dean of the school of education. Longtime educator Jarrett Moore assumed the position this week after years at the university. A Macon, Georgia native, he has a 25-year background in education at levels ranging from middle school to higher education. He started at BHSU in 2017.
Man injured when he hit deer with motorcycle near Lead
LEAD, S.D. - At around 8:40 p.m. on May 27, the Lead Volunteer Fire Department responded to a motorcycle crash about 4 miles south of Lead on US Highway 85/US-14A. Upon arriving, firefighters found a male rider who had been thrown from his motorcycle after colliding with a deer on the highway. The rider, who was wearing a helmet, sustained minor injuries.
