JCPS high school given additional security Friday after threat posted on social media
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Jefferson County Public Schools officials say a high school will receive additional security Friday after a threat was found against the school. "We are aware of a social media post referencing a threat against our school," Seneca High School Principal Michael Guy said in a letter to parents.

Kentucky’s First Solar-Powered Brewery Announces Closure
The first solar-powered brewery in Kentucky, known for its ciders featuring apples pressed on-site, will close at the end of the month. Pivot Brewing, 1400 Delaware Ave, was put up for sale in July by founder and owner Kevin Compton after considering a transition to a worker-owned co-op. Despite initial interest in an online auction with a minimum bid of $430,000 for the entire operation, a sale ultimately failed to materialize. This has led Compton to decide to shut down the brewery’s retail operations on August 31.

Review: JERSEY BOYS at Derby Dinner Playhouse
The biography jukebox musical is quite the unique brand of theatre experience. So many come to mind in recent years (Beautiful, The Cher Show, MJ, Tina, etc.), but you could easily argue that Jersey Boys was the first of its kind in the modern theatre landscape. Many of these shows have specific casting needed to play and portray their subjects, and once they are finally available for regional and community theatres it's quite the undertaking to put out a polished and faithful product. Derby Dinner Playhouse has taken on that challenge by being the first theatre in the area to present Jersey Boys, and I'm extremely happy to report that they have done a tremendous job with this challenging and technically difficult show.
