The Lakefront Steakhouse In Iowa That's Perfect For A Fun Evening Out
Is there a better summer tradition than dining on the water? I don’t think so – somehow the food just tastes better when the river or lake is only feet away. Naturally, the Iowa Great Lakes are at the heart of summer fun in Iowa, and that includes the dining scene. It’s pretty easy to find a waterfront restaurant in Arnolds Park, Iowa, especially during the busy season, but one of our favorites has got to be The Ritz. Unlike a Ritz-Carlton hotel, this is a pretty casual affair – but the food is anything but. There should be something on the menu for everyone here, but one of the highlights is the weekly specials. There’s also an affordable and delicious steak dinner on the weekend that’s not to be missed. We have more good things to say about this place, but the best way to discover them is to see them for yourself, so read on!
Rock your way through Independence Day
Live at the Lake offers three straight nights of concerts. Preservation Plaza is turning up the volume for the Fourth of July weekend. Starting with local favorite The Rolling Stoners on Independence Day, there will be free concerts on three consecutive nights with a fourth show in the Roof Garden to put a nice bow on the holiday weekend.
Seven for 7: Shop Around
Seven things you didn’t even know you needed for summer. One cute little cube contains some magic. It exfoliate, moisturizes and protects your hands and feet. Using it is as simple as 1, 2, 3 and the results are amazing. It comes in single scents or a collection of all. From Ocean Mist to Fresh Lemongrass to Mango Sorbet there is a scent for everyone.
Seven for 7: Down to a fine art
Art in the Park showcases artists and their creations. It isn’t contained just to gallery walls. It can be found in a lot of unique locations. In fact, on Saturday, Aug. 3, you’ll be able to find art in the great outdoors with a view of West Okoboji Lake and a roller coaster in the background.
Seven for 7: La Comida Mas Fina
It doesn’t have to be a Tuesday to enjoy a great taco. They are just as delicious on a Wednesday or Thursday, or any day of the week for that matter. And the wide array of Mexican restaurants in the Iowa Great Lakes offer all kinds of options to satisfy even the biggest appetites. They don’t stop at tacos, there are fajitas and burritos, quesadillas, enchiladas and much more. Here are just a few of the highlights to try this summer.
Seven for 7: What a night
Oh yes, it’s ladies’ night. And the feeling’s right. The Iowa Great Lakes is a great place to grab your girls and hit the town for a ladies’ night. Whether your group’s tastes runs to getting crafty, dancing to some live music or to a really good meal or glass of wine — it’s a place that has something for everyone.
