Notre Dame will have a brand-new look when the Fighting Irish make their long-awaited return to Notre Dame Stadium this fall. On Friday, head coach Marcus Freeman and defensive back Jordan Clark made an appearance on ESPN’s “First Take” to discuss the upcoming season. Nichols, NY — Tioga Downs plays host to a $108,200 leg of the New York Sire Stakes for 2-year-old pacing fillies on Sunday (July 21). Unbeaten Cowgirl Hanover (Jason Bartlett) will be the one to beat. The Huntsville-Code One Hanover filly is trained by Jared Bako. She has won all three of her starts as she registered NYSS wins at Yonkers, Monticello, and Buffalo. She has already earned $116,150 in her young career.

Steamers Beat Horseheads In Yesterday’s Make Up Game
The Hornell Steamers scored two in the 8th and five more in the 9th to earn a 13-11 victory over the Horseheads on Thursday afternoon. Wellsboro, CV to compete in 'Battle in the Bowl'
The Wellsboro and Cowanesque Valley football teams will be competing this Saturday, July 20 in Sayre in the second year of the Battle of the Bowl seven-on-seven tournament. The tournament will take place at the Lockhart Street Bowl with 10 teams competing including Elmira Heights, Susquehanna, Schuyler County, Horseheads, Sayre, Spencer-Van Etten, Waverly, Athens, Wellsboro, and CV in a tournament that features not only PA teams, but New York teams as well.
