Former CASC Lady Viking wrestler joins coaching staff
Carl Albert State College has announced the addition of former CASC Lady Vikings wrestler Alexis (Lexi) Miller to its coaching staff. Miller, a two-time NJCAA national champion and the first-ever CASC national champion, brings a wealth of experience and accolades to the team. Her impressive career includes being a two-time Oklahoma state champion, an age 23-and-younger All-American and a Poland Open competitor.

Chihuahuas Win 10-2 Tuesday to End Losing Streak
The El Paso Chihuahuas beat the Oklahoma City Baseball Club 10-2 Tuesday in the opener of a six-game home series. The win ended El Paso’s 10-game losing streak. Chihuahuas starting pitcher Gabe Mosser allowed two earned runs in 5.2 innings and got the win. Mosser’s nine strikeouts matched his career high, which was previously set on July 28, 2019 with High-A Lake Elsinore. Mosser threw 105 pitches Tuesday and became the first El Paso pitcher this year to throw 100 or more pitches in a game.

Wayne Johnson Retires From Driving
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — On the eve of the Knoxville 360 Nationals, two-time event winner Wayne Johnson has announced his retirement from driving. Johnson suffered a severe arm injury in a violent crash during the High Limit Racing event at the Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway in April and had not raced since, though, he has continued to field his 2C Racing sprint car with Hank Davis at the wheel.
Jim Young wins Yamaha Section Senior, four qualify for nationals
Jim Young of Gallardia Golf Club shot rounds of 70-71 for a 1-under total of 141 to win the Yamaha PGA South Central Section Senior Championship on Tuesday. Young and the other top three finishers earned berths in the upcoming Senior PGA Professional Championship which will be played September 26-29 at Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Ore.
