STORM CLEANUP CONTINUES IN CAMBRIDGE CITY
(Cambridge City, IN)--Cleanup will continue in parts of the Whitewater Valley Monday after a line of storms including strong straight-line winds swept through the area Sunday afternoon. Much of the damage was done in the Cambridge City area, where large trees came down onto structures and into power lines. The Wayne County Emergency Management Agency began checking properties in a grid pattern. No injuries were reported. Creitz Park has been closed. That’s where much of the damage occurred. As of Monday morning, Duke Energy’s website indicates that only 13 customers are still without power. Also Monday morning, the EMA was asking people with damage to report that damage through an online form that’s available on their Facebook page. The National Weather Service will be in the area Monday. Local officials say the damage does not appear to have been caused by a tornado.
