One person hospitalized, one displaced in Spokane Valley trailer fire

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- A large trailer fire sent one person to the hospital and displaced another person on Tuesday evening, according to Spokane Valley Fire Department.

Around 9 p.m. on July 16, SVFD responded to a reported trailer fire near Mansfield Avenue and Evergreen.

When crews arrived, they found a fifth-wheel completely engulfed in flames with fire spreading to a nearby single-wide trailer.

One person who was able to exit the 5th wheel was treated for severe burns on-site and then airlifted to a Seattle hospital.

The resident of the single-wide was not injured but is now displaced.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
