    Medical Examiner rules death of woman killed in scooter crash accidental

    SPOKANE, Wash. -- A woman was killed riding a scooter near Deaconess Hospital in downtown Spokane Tuesday morning.

    According to the Spokane Police Department, the woman was riding a scooter on 4th Avenue between Monroe Street and Lincoln Street around 6:30 a.m.

    SPD says a truck was stopped at a stop sign and hit the scooter while pulling into the intersection.

    The woman died at the scene.

    The driver stayed at the scene and is not suspected of being under the influence.

    The Spokane County Medical Examiner has identified the victim as 23-year-old Danielle Littrell. Her cause of death was blunt force injuries of the head and torso and the manner of her death was an accident.
