SPOKANE, Wash. --  A man and a woman were arrested on Wednesday for assaulting and robbing a man in North Spokane on Tuesday, according to Spokane Police Department.

On July 16 around 4:30 p.m., SPD responded to a reported robbery near Indiana Avenue and Atlantic Street.

When they arrived, officers found a man with head injuries.

SPD learned the victim had interacted with a man and a woman he did not know and that the interaction was "drug related."

The victim said the man and woman hit him multiple times in the head with a pipe or stick and then stole his clothes, cash and cell phone.

Using the victim's description of the suspect, SPD arrested 29-year-old Samantha R. Thexton and 24-year-old Tom A. Blake.

Before Blake was booked into jail, he showed overdose symptoms and received multiple doses of Narcan.

After he recovered, he was booked into Spokane County Jail for first-degree robbery. His bond is set at $50,000.

Thexton was also booked into jail for first-degree robbery on a $10,000 bond.
