    17-year-old arrested for shooting near Holy Names Court last month

    SPOKANE, Wash. - A 17-year-old is being charged for a shooting that happened last month near Holy Names Court.

    The unnamed suspect was arrested Friday near Northwest Boulevard and Alberta Street. He is facing charges for assault with a firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm. He is currently being held at the Spokane County Juvenile Detention Center.

    According to the Spokane Police Department, the incident started with a fight between several people in a parked vehicle near Holy Names Court.

    The suspect then got out of the vehicle and fired several shots into the vehicle.

    One person inside the vehicle was struck by one of the bullets.

    The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital.
