SPD investigating armed robbery possibly connected to another robbery

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane Police Department is investigating an armed robbery and have asked for the public's help in identifying the suspect.

Just after 4 p.m. Tuesday, SPD responded to the report of an armed robbery at a gas station on N Monroe and W Mansfield. According to the 911 call, the store was robbed at gunpoint by a man.

Officers arrived to the area and saw a man running from the scene. Several streets were blocked off in an attempt to locate the man, but SPD has not been able to find the suspect.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans with a 'slender build'.

SPD released photos from Tuesday's robbery and a robbery that happened last week. They believe the same person was involved in both incidents.
