SPOKANE, Wash. - Two people were arrested for a drive-by shooting that eventually led to the crash that injured seven officers and one K9 last month.

According to Spokane Police, 42-year-old JoJo Doney and 46-year-old Joseph R. Bailey were arrested Thursday and face multiple assault charges.

The charges stem from an incident on July 17. SPD said officers went to a home on East Joseph Avenue that day for reports of a shooting.

When police arrived, the residents of the home said several people they didn't know came to their door demanding money.

The victims said they told the suspects they had the wrong house. The suspects then sprayed pepper spray on the victims before walking way.

Police said the victims heard gunshots before the suspects left the scene. A description of the vehicle the suspects left in was taken at the scene.

On July 19, officers saw a car that fit the description of the one at the shooting. This led to the chase that ended when the driver crashed into a SWAT vehicle.

Seven officers were hurt. One suffered a broken vertebrae.

The driver of that car, 21-year-old Keiana Henry, was arrested. Police said she was going over double the speed limit when the crash happened.

Police said after speaking with Henry and others in the car, they were able to link Doney and Bailey to the July 17 shooting. Doney and Bailey were not in the car when it crashed.

Police said there is no proof Henry or anyone else in the car was involved with the July 17 incident.
