SHELL LAKE — The Shell Lake Public Library is having a number of events this month.

Join the library Tuesday, March 12, from 4 to 5 p.m. as Minnesota author Mary Seifert discusses her writing and publishing process. Seifert will discuss her cozy mystery series, “Katie and Maverick,” and her latest book, “Creeps, Cache, & Corpses.” Seifert will be available to sign books as well as have books for purchase.

Join the library on Monday, March 18, from 4 to 5 p.m. for WI Forests and Lumbermen: Surprises in the Legacy with retired Wisconsin forester Ed Forrester. He will discuss Wisconsin forests and local history. This family-friendly program is a great way to learn more about where we live.

Join the library Saturday, March 23, from 11 a.m. to noon for this month’s Lego Club. Individuals ages 5 and up are invited to stretch their creativity to meet this month’s Lego challenge. All Legos will be provided.

Adults 18 and up are invited to join the library for its first Silent Book Club Monday, March 24, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. What is Silent Book Club? It is for individuals who are excited and interested in discussing books while being able to choose their own books to read. We will spend the first half hour discussing books that we are currently reading or have recently read. If able, let the library know what book you will be discussing so we can have it available for the club. Light refreshments will be provided. Participants are also welcome to bring water bottles with.
