HAUGEN — The Česká Opera House in Haugen will be hosting a St. Patrick’s Day concert with the TrueGrass Trio & Special Guest Carol McDowall on Sunday, March 17, starting at 2 p.m.

The TGTrio+1 will be donning their green and polishing up their Irish credentials to get ready for a fun afternoon of music at this unique venue in Haugen. The Ceska Opera House (320 W. Third St.) is a historic performance and event venue operated by the Česká Opera Foundation, a nonprofit preserving the history and heritage of Haugen and the surrounding area.

Snacks and beverages will be available. Tickets are available by calling 715.234.7458. You can follow the Česká Opera House on Facebook.

The TrueGrass Trio specializes in reviving music of the old-time masters, adapting modern material to the bluegrass idiom and creating original songs and new tunes in the traditional string band style. The TrueGrass Trio features Tom Draughon from Ashland on guitar and old-time banjo, Bruce Qualey from Cable on bass, Jed Malischke from Spooner on bluegrass banjo, guitar and resophonic guitar and the newest member of the now-four-piece “trio” — McDowall from Trego on fiddle. Check them out at www.TrueGrassTrio.com or follow them at www.facebook.com/truegrassband.
