SHELL LAKE — The 21st-annual Shell Lake Art Festival will be held in Memorial Park on the shores of the lake Saturday, July 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Art Festival is a juried event showcasing regional artists. Visitors can find a selection of fine art and craft for purchase. Original artwork includes pottery, wood, jewelry, leather, painting and more. The show offers a variety of handmade items and an opportunity to meet the artists and buy original, unique art. There is no admission fee to the Art Festival.

Health care fraud, Wisconsin woman indicted in $1.4M scheme
MILWAUKEE - A grand jury indicted a Wisconsin woman in connection to a $1.4 million health care fraud scheme, prosecutors announced on Thursday. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, 47-year-old Lori Butts of Wales defrauded Wisconsin Medicaid and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. She is charged with eight counts of health care fraud and eight counts of wire fraud.
