It seems like Tennessee Titans 2024 second-round pick and nose tackle T'Vondre Sweat is getting better and better every single day at practice, and that is leading to excitement about the kind of duo he can form with star defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons.

One person who is excited to see what Sweat and Simmons can do is Yahoo Sports insider Charles Robinson , who recently attended camp and shared what he saw from the two mammoth defenders.

"My first thought when I saw second-round defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat on the field: 'Holy [bleep],'" Robinson wrote. "It’s hard to quantify how scary his good snaps are when he’s next to Jeffery Simmons . Keeping his conditioning up will be vital, but if that happens, interior offensive lines will be in trouble with Sweat and Simmons."

But Robinson wasn't just impressed with Sweat. He also liked what he saw from first-round pick and left tackle, JC Latham.

"Rookie first-rounder JC Latham is settling in nicely at left tackle thus far, showcasing a lot of polish that elite Alabama players usually have coming into the league," he wrote. "He spent a week of the offseason training with San Francisco 49ers offensive tackle Trent Williams — a move Latham sought on his own. If he can settle in as the Titans’ cornerstone tackle, the line will take a big step forward in a dedicated multi-year build."

Upon being drafted, there were no shortage of concerns about Sweat, who had gotten arrested for a DWI before the draft and had questions about his ability to stay in shape. Also not helping matters was the fact that Sweat missed a large chunk of the offseason due to an undisclosed injury.

However, those concerns have evaporated into thin air for now, as the rookie has routinely turned heads on a daily basis in camp. Together with Latham, the Titans appear to have two major building blocks in the trenches going into 2024.
