The Seattle Seahawks made a big addition to their 90-man roster last night, agreeing to terms of a one-year deal worth up to $6 million with former Miami Dolphins center Connor Wiliams. Seattle had been wooing Williams for a couple of weeks, fending off several competitors around the NFL, including Mike Macdonald's former team, the Baltimore Ravens.

With Williams in the bag the Seahawks replaced what had been a major question mark up front with a sure thing. The experience and skill Williams has displayed in his career is enough to make us far more confident in this unit overall than we were 24 hours ago.

Let's see what the team's offensive line depth chart looks like with Williams in the lineup.

LT: Charles Cross - Stone Forsythe - Raiqwon O'Neal

LG: Laken Tomlinson - Ilm Manning

C: Connor Williams - Olu Oluwatimi - Nick Harris - Jalen Sundell

RG: Anthony Bradford - Christian Haynes - Sataoa Laumea

RT: Abe Lucas - George Fant - McClendon Curtis - Mike Jerrell - Max Pircher

Looking ahead Seattle could probably use another left guard but they have options within this group and given Tomlinson's famous durability it probably won't be an issue. Signing Williams answers our biggest question about this team going into 2024.

As far as other potential roster holes go, the Seahawks may need some help along their edge rotation if Dre'Mont Jones doesn't hit the ground running Week 1 as a full-time outside rusher. They can probably afford to wait a few weeks to see how it goes there before signing a check for a proven free agent, though.

Other than that, this roster looks strong on paper and ready to make a playoff run. So long as head coach Mike Macdonald and offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb live up to their end of the bargain we could be in for the best season for Seattle in years.
