Grant Holloway is an Olympic gold medalist for the first time in his career.

The USA sprinter joins large group of track and field athletes to medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The United States has 30 gold medals at the 2024 Olympics, nine of which are in track and field.

Holloway's journey began early in his childhood, running track with his older brother Trey. It's fair to say the younger brother is a better runner now.

In addition to his track and field prowess, Holloway was also a standout wide receiver in high school. He chose to enroll at the University of Florida for track and field rather than the University of Georgia for football.

Here's a closer look at the Holloway family tree, including Grant's mother, father and older brother.

"We’re feeling great," Latasha told WAVY's Marielena Balouris on Aug. 3. "I’m feeling great. The jitters haven’t set in yet. You know, just being able to be here with Grant is just such an amazing experience."

Latasha added that Grant said it's important that his family was at the Olympics to support him. The Holloway family was unable to attend the 2020 Tokyo Olympics due to COVID-19 restrictions.
