Tyrese Maxey reacts to Joel Embiid's performance on social media

The Philadelphia 76ers represent the City of Brotherly Love to near perfection, especially stars Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey .

Maxey and Embiid are the backbones of Philadelphia's organization, regularly supporting each other in ventures. The superstar big man's latest is his substantial role in Team USA's semifinal victory against Serbia on Thursday.

The reigning Most Improved Player sent praise to his friend and teammate via social media . He wrote, "Hey Joel," paired alongside a GIF of Embiid eating.

Maxey and Embiid will look to overcome the hump of the Eastern Conference Semifinals this year, largely due to the addition of forward Paul George. This newly formed Big Three arguably poses the greatest threat to the NBA champion Boston Celtics.

Embiid finished with 19 points, four rebounds, and two assists on 8 of 11 shooting. This performance, along with impressive outings from LeBron James and Stephen Curry, earned them a matchup against France in the gold medal game.

The championship matchup against France could go one of two ways for Embiid, considering his ties to the country as well as their loaded frontcourt. The one group who won't stop booing him is the French fans, as Embiid chose to join Team USA instead. The center duo of Victor Wembanyama and Rudy Gobert will also pose a strong threat for Embiid and Co.
