Football is back with the first full week of NFL preseason games, and the slate features a packed schedule including a matchup between the Dolphins and Falcons.

The teams appear to be going in opposite directions entering the 2024 season. Atlanta has struggled of late, though the Falcons are hoping the addition of Kirk Cousins gets them back on track toward the postseason.

Meanwhile, Miami continues to be on the doorstep of a deep playoff run. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has kept the Dolphins in contention for the last few seasons but has been done in by the Chiefs and Bills once the playoffs roll around.

For now, the preseason is about reducing the rosters to 53 players, as both teams will likely play many reserves and use their respective games as a benchmark for September.

The Sporting News has everything you need to know ahead of the Dolphins' matchup against the Falcons, including where to watch, stream, buy tickets and much more.
