Tottenham defender Emerson Royal is reportedly on the verge of completing a transfer move to Serie A side AC Milan.

Multiple previous reports in Italy claimed the Brazilian international had agreed personal terms over a switch to the San Siro with the two clubs negotiating a fee.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has now sounded the 'here we go' klaxon with a €15m ($16.3m) deal rumoured to be almost complete.

The 25-year-old has opted against offers from elsewhere in the Premier League, and across Europe, to force through a move to Milan with a medical expected in the coming days.

The former Barcelona full-back has endured a mixed three seasons at Spurs, playing under a succession of managers, and never really nailing down the right-back spot as his own.

Mixed performances and the emergence of Pedro Porro means Spurs fans will not be too concerned by his exit with Ange Postecoglu continuing on his firm rebuild of his squad.

Eric Dier, Ivan Perisic and former club record signing Tanguy Ndombele all left on free transfers last month and the money raised from Emerson's exit could be invested elsewhere.

Postecoglu is heavily rumoured to be plotting a £65m ($83m) raid of Bournemouth for Dominic Solanke which would break Ndombele's previous record.

The Cherries are yet to receive a formal offer for the England international as they bid to retain their star striker who netted 19 EPL goals for them last season.
