    Olympics women's marathon time, TV channel, schedule, route map to watch Paris 2024 medal event

    Olympic track and field competition will conclude with the women's marathon race on Aug. 11.

    Ethiopia's Tigist Assefa has emerged as a top candidate for gold after setting a world record at last year's Berlin Marathon. Kenya's Peres Jepchirchir won gold in Tokyo, and the Netherlands' Sifan Hassan is also someone to watch.

    Fiona O'Keeffe, Emily Sisson, and Dakotah Lindwurm will compete for Team USA. Sisson is the U.S. women's world record-holder in the marathon.

    The elevation gain and loss of the route makes the course a unique challenge for the racers. The competition is stacked and will make for a great end to competition in Paris.

    The final of the women's marathon race will begin at 2 a.m. ET on Sunday, Aug. 11.

    What channel is the women's marathon on today?

    • Live streams: Peacock, Fubo

    The women's marathon race will be broadcast live on USA Network. Simulcasts can be streamed on Fubo , offering a free trial, and Peacock. Daytime coverage of the event will be on NBC at 12 p.m. ET.

    The marathon course starts at the Hôtel de Ville and ends on the Esplanade des Invalides. Along the way, runners will be able to take in the sights of iconic monuments of Paris, including the Louvre, Grand Palais, Château de Versailles, and the Eiffel Tower.

    For the first time in history, the general public will be invited to put themselves in the shoes of Olympians and run on the same route as the elite athletes. Around 20,024 participants will run the same course just hours after the men's Olympic marathon race.
