It will feel like football season is in full effect when the Broncos and Colts kickoff preseason play Sunday.
These are two franchises that have longed to get back to postseason contention and are ready to get the process underway by assessing their young talent and letting their veterans tune up.
The Broncos have officially started their rebuild after taking quarterback Bo Nix out of Oregon with the 12th overall pick in the draft. The Oregon QB is in line to be the franchise guy under Sean Payton's leadership, a combination that could prove to be very successful considering what he did with Drew Brees in New Orleans.
For Indianapolis, the franchise is ready for the Anthony Richardson era to take off after the quarterback's rookie year was cut short due to an ACL injury four games in last season. They've surrounded him with quality offensive pieces, giving him a great launch pad.
