Jason Pierre-Paul, 35, is a former Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker who is a free agent.  His job search has prompted him to make an outrageous social media claim.

On Sunday afternoon, August 11 after the majority of the weekend's preseason games had concluded, JPP wrote on X/Twitter : "I know I’m a free agent, but mark my words: whatever team I end up on, we're going to the Super Bowl, and that I do know, my spider senses tell me YES!! Watch me cook."

JPP has two Super Bowl Championships, one with the Giants and the other with the 2020 Bucs.  He last played with the Miami Dolphins in 2023 who signed him off the New Orleans Saints practice squad only to waive him less than a month later.

Pierre-Paul, the 15th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft by the New York Giants, has 631 total tackles, 94.5 sacks, 10 fumble recoveries, and 5 interceptions, was once a premier defensive end/linebacker.

JPP, who has appeared in 182 games, remains very confident in his skills and believes they are enough to lift any team that signs him to a Super Bowl championship.  It is a bold claim, but since he has won two Super Bowls, teams who need depth at the position might take notice.
