Tyreek Hill has never lacked confidence, especially when it comes to his speed.
The NFL star wide receiver widely known as "Cheetah" took his self-belief to a new level in an interview with Kay Adams on Monday.
Still in the Olympic spirit, Adams asked Hill about his thoughts on United States track star Noah Lyles' viral comments about American professional sports leagues calling themselves "World Champions." Hill responded in the only way you would expect — challenging Lyles to a race while saying he could beat the Olympic gold medalist.

What did Tyreek Hill say about Noah Lyles?
In an "Up & Adams" interview at Dolphins training camp, Adams teed up Hill by asking the star receiver his thoughts on Lyles saying Super Bowl champions cannot call themselves World Champions.
"Noah Lyles can't say nothing after what just happened to him," Hill began his rant, referencing Lyles finishing third in the 200-meter at the 2024 Paris Olympics before revealing he raced with COVID-19 .
"Then he want to come out and pretend like he sick. I feel like that's, like, horse radish.
"For him to do that, and say that we're not world champions of our sport. Come on, bruh. Speak on what you know about, and that's track."

It's worth noting that when Lyles won gold in the 100-meter race at the Olympics, Hill was quick to congratulate him.
Adams did her job, asking the only proper follow-up question: "Would you like to race him when he gets home?"
"I would beat Noah Lyles," Hill said plainly two times over.
"I wouldn't beat him by a lot, but I would beat Noah Lyles. And guess what? When I beat him, I'mma put on a COVID mask and let him know I mean business. Because I do mean business."
Hill caught wind of his comments going viral on social media and doubled down on X.

Tyreek Hill vs. Noah Lyles 100m time
Hill is definitely ambitious saying he could beat the reigning Olympic 100-meter gold medalist, but it might be closer than you would think.
Lyles ran 100 meters in 9.79 seconds to earn the top spot on the podium in Paris. That is roughly 10.2 meters per second.
Hill competed at the USA Track and Field Masters Indoor Championships in 2023 and ran the 60-meter in 6.70 seconds. That is roughly nine meters per second.
To be clear, that would result in a pretty decisive win for Lyles. But we're talking about "the fastest man in the world" versus someone who is just abnormally fast in their own profession.
It's a race that sports fans everywhere would certainly tune in to watch.
