Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant has found a new home in the NFL, with the former fourth-round pick signing with the Washington Commanders .

The team announced the move on Tuesday morning. This is the second team Bryant has signed with in the NFL since he last played a snap with the then-Oakland Raiders in 2018. He also spent time on the Dallas Cowboys ' practice squad last year before signing a futures deal with the team in 2024. He was released in May.

Bryant had a promising start to his career but things quickly went downhill for him after he was suspended in 2016 . He came back in 2017 and tallied 603 receiving yards and three scores in 15 games.

Pittsburgh decided to trade Bryant to the Raiders in 2018, where he compiled 19 receptions for 266 scoreless yards before being suspended again .

Most recently, Bryant had a stint in the XFL, playing for the Vegas Vipers in 2023. He finished that season with 14 catches for 154 yards in eight games.

He'll now try to earn a job with the Commanders, either on the roster or the practice squad. If he can stick, he may end up facing his old mates, as the Steelers travel to take on the Commanders in Week 10.
