The In-Season Tournament is back for its checkup. Only it's now known as the Emirates NBA Cup.
For the second season, 30 teams will compete in the mid-season competition for bragging rights, and most importantly, $500,000 per winning player. Regardless, it gives the league a little extra boost during the season.

It all goes down this November and December with four games a team. Eight move to the playoffs, two play for the title, but only one will win the NBA Cup in Las Vegas this winter. Call it an extra holiday gift as the best of the East and West go at it.

When is the NBA in-season tournament?
The 2024 NBA Cup is played over six dedicated play dates beginning Nov. 12 and ending Dec. 3. Each matchup will be played at the home team's venue.
The top eight teams will compete in the playoffs at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Quarterfinals are scheduled for Dec. 10 and 11, semifinals for Dec. 14 and the NBA Cup Championship is on Tuesday, Dec. 17.

Prices for every game vary based on city and teams. Some tickets are $40, others are $100.
But if you already know you want to head to Las Vegas for the playoffs, you can plan it now. Passes for the semifinals are about $100 for either the East or West game. The championship costs $160 as of mid-August.

NBA Cup 2024 groups
The in-season tournament groups are divided into six pools of five divided by conference. Each team will play four total games that count towards the NBA Cup, each game against a franchise in their group.

When is the 2024 NBA schedule release?
The league has yet to announce when its 2024-2025 schedule will be released. However, it will be soon with the in-season tournament official.
For the last two years, the schedule release has been on Aug. 17, so fans should keep an eye out this Saturday.
