The Philadelphia Eagles have a ton of young talent, specifically along the offensive line and at the major skill positions like quarterback and wide receiver.

One NFL analyst gave the Eagles love for two young studs within the interior of the defensive line.

Jordan Dajani of CBSSports.com released his All-Under-25 Defensive Team , ranking the best defensive players in the NFL under the age of 25 entering the official start of the 2024 NFL regular season. The Eagles landed one player on the first team and another on the second team — including an NFL sophomore who just turned 23 in April.

The Eagles’ Jalen Carter was selected as one of two first-team defensive tackles, along with Alim McNeill of the Detroit Lions . Carter was a beast during his rookie season in 2023. Pro Football Focus ranked him eighth overall in pressures across the NFL, and he finished with 33 total tackles, six sacks and eight tackles for loss. Carter has looked poised for an even bigger year in training camp this season, especially during the team’s recent joint practice with the New England Patriots .

Third-year nose tackle Jordan Davis (24) also made the list for the Eagles as a second-team selection. Davis, Carter and Milton Williams figure to form one of the best interior defensive line trios in football this season.

No rookies made Dajani’s team, so top Eagles prospects like Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean were left off. The team will be counting on a number of defensive players under the age of 25 this season, specifically: Mitchell (22), DeJean (21), linebackers Nolan Smith (23) and Nakobee Dean (23), and cornerback Kelee Ringo (22).

The Eagles will enter the 2024 NFL season on the short list of Super Bowl contenders, and general manager Howie Roseman has plenty in the cupboards to keep that window open for years to come.
