Key Seattle Seahawks defender suffers setback in joint practice with Tennessee Titans

The Seattle Seahawks and the Tennessee Titans played in the first of two joint practices today at their facility in MetroCenter, not far from downtown Nashville. We got word of some exciting developments, especially as concerns the progress of Seattle's first-round draft pick Byron Murphy , who seems on his way to becoming a game-breaker in Year 1.

The news wasn't all positive coming out of Tennessee today, though. The team suffered at least two injuries during the joint practice, including a setback for key defensive lineman Dre'Mont Jones , who had only just rejoined the lineup a couple of days ago.

According to Brady Henderson at ESPN, Jones left the field about halfway through practice. Afterwards, head coach Mike Macdonald told reporters that Jones "felt a little tweak" but should be good to go.

Jones had missed most of the last couple of weeks with a hamstring issue. During the offseason he restructured his contract and moved outside to the edge full-time.

In related news, number two running back Zach Charbonnet did not participate in practice at all. Macdonald says that was just a matter of tightness . With Charbonnet out, undrafted rookie George Holani shared first-team reps with Ken Walker. Wide receiver Tyler Lockett is also dealing with what Macdonald called "a little something going on his leg." Whatever it is, Lockett was spotted wearing pads at practice but was relatively limited.
