    When does college football start in 2024? Full Week 0 schedule, TV channels for FBS teams

    Soon, the thundering sound of marching bands, raucous crowds and referee whistles will be here.

    College football season is on the horizon, as the NCAA football season is set to kick off this month. Week 0 has become a tradition in the sport, with a handful of games getting the action started before the rest of the programs get going in Week 1.

    First up on the docket is a contest at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland, continuing college football's international series in Week 0. Florida State takes on Georgia Tech over across the pond, as DJ Uiagalelei and the Seminoles look to start the season right against the Yellow Jackets.

    In addition to the game in Ireland, there are three other games scheduled for the first weekend, giving college football fanatics a taste of what is expected to be a sensational season.

    When does college football start in 2024?

    • Date: Saturday, Aug. 24
    • Time: 12 p.m. ET
    • Matchup: Florida State at Georgia Tech
    • Location: Aviva Stadium — Dublin, Ireland

    The first confirmed game of the 2024 season kicks off at noon ET on Aug. 24 when Georgia Tech takes on Florida State in Dublin, Ireland.

    Other FBS showdowns include Montana State vs. New Mexico, SMU vs. Nevada and Delaware State vs. Hawaii.

    How to watch college football games in Week 0

    Florida State vs. Georgia Tech will kick off the college football season on ESPN and ESPN+. Other nationally televised games include Montana State vs. New Mexico on FS1 and SMU vs. Nevada on CBS Sports Network.

    Four college football games are scheduled to take place during Week 0, down from seven last season.
