Steelers offense rightly roasted for pathetic showing in preseason Week 2

The Pittsburgh Steelers had both Russell Wilson and Justin Fields playing in the preseason Week 2 game against the Buffalo Bills on Saturday night, yet they only mustered up three points in a 9-3 loss.

Wilson completed 8-of-10 passes for 47 yards and was sacked three times, although not all of them were on his offensive line. Meanwhile, Fields completed 11-of-17 passes for 92 yards and was sacked once, and he added 42 yards on the ground, leading the team.

Wilson played a total of five drives before giving way to Fields the rest of the way. His drives went punt, punt, punt, punt, missed field goal. The first four drives went for under 10 yards (one was -11), and the fifth went for 22.

But the quarterback play wasn't the only issue, as the offensive line certainly had its problems to make things more difficult.

Despite the terrible showing, the Steelers actually had a chance to win the game late when they got the ball back at their own 28-yard line with 1:56 remaining. However, Pittsburgh couldn't even move the sticks.

Through two preseason games, the Steelers have scored just 15 points and the play has been sloppy overall. Safe to say, Pittsburgh's offense isn't instilling any confidence that a better season is coming on that side of the ball.

After an inept showing, the Steelers were absolutely roasted on social media, and rightly so.
