BetMGM's Saints vs. 49ers odds & SNF bet to consider

You can use your $1,500 First Bet to wager on tonight's Saints vs. 49ers odds. Here are SNF odds from BetMGM .

BetMGM Sportsbook odds Spread Moneyline Total
    Saints -2.5 -155 OVER 38.5
    49ers +2.5 -110 UNDER 38.5

The early odds on this game favoring the Saints on the road tell much of the story of the NFL's preseason. Teams use these exhibition games as virtual tryouts while protecting their best players from potential injury. Sure, they'll give their starters some reps, but keeping the stars healthy for the regular season is far more important than winning a game that ultimately doesn't count.

Preseason betting lines are driven largely by quarterbacks. When there are plans to sit starting QBs, backups become the market's focus.

In New Orleans this offseason, there's a battle between Spencer Rattler and Jake Haener to earn the role of Derek Carr's backup. Both QBs should see action on Sunday night against the 49ers.

In the Saints' preseason opener, a 16-14 win at the Cardinals last week, Haener went 9-for-13 for 107 yards; Rattler was 9-for-17 for 70 yards and scored a rushing TD. Carr completed two of just six pass attempts.

The defending NFC champion 49ers are favored to win this season's Super Bowl, priced a tick above the Chiefs.

Brock Purdy did not see the field in San Francisco's preseason opener, a 17-13 loss at the Titans. Veterans Joshua Dobbs and Brandon Allen shared those duties.

Dobbs went 14-for-20 for 146 yards and one INT, and lept into the endzone on a six-yard TD run. Allen was 7-for-13 for 98 yards.

While preseason games are typically low-scoring, we're looking at the OVER on Sunday night. With backup battles on both sides, the teams may try to open things up and give these QBs more chances to prove themselves.

With this sportsbook promo from BetMGM, you may place that bet -- or another one of your choice -- and if the wager doesn't hit, your account will be reimbursed with up to $1,500 in bonus bets.

If your First Bet is for more than $50 and loses, you'll receive five bonus bets, each equal to 20% of the stake. If the wager is $50 or less, you'll receive a credit for one bonus bet equal to its stake.
