The Philadelphia Eagles are entering a new era on the field without center Jason Kelce, the future Hall of Famer and star of the unstoppable ‘Tush Push’ play.

One NFL analyst is eyeing Kelce’s successor as a top breakout candidate this season.

Jared Dubin of CBSSports.com recently named one breakout player for every NFL team in 2024 , and former second-round pick Cam Jurgens was highlighted for the Eagles. Here was Dubin’s reasoning:

“It was difficult to narrow down whom to choose for the Eagles, so we went with the player who would benefit the team the most if he had a breakout year. Jurgens is taking over for a future Hall of Famer in Jason Kelce, and how he performs as the pivot man in the offensive line will play a huge role in whether or not the team can carry over its consistent run-game success.”

Jurgens has worked closely with Kelce throughout his pro career, backing him up as a rookie and playing beside him on the offensive line in 2023. Like Kelce, he’s an interesting guy off the field. He launched his own beef jerky company , handing out samples to coaches during his pre-draft interviews. He also tweeted a viral clip of himself practicing pass blocking skills against a steer:

Hey, whatever works. If Jurgens’ play on the field can match his big personality, the Eagles will be in good shape to start the 2024 season.
