The FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway was postponed mid-race after inclement weather disrupted the event Sunday.

When the race resumed Monday morning, Spire Motorsports driver Corey LaJoie found himself in an unlikely position—upside-down and in the air after barely crashing into Stewart-Haas Racing's Noah Gragson.

Thankfully, he walked away unscathed, even though his deployed roof and hood flaps did not prevent the crash. This is the second time LaJoie's car has rolled over this season, as his No. 7 car also flipped at the Talladega Superspeedway earlier this year.

NASCAR will likely investigate the incident, as it takes airborne accidents very seriously. Here's everything to know about LaJoie's crash at the Michigan race.

While attempting to pass Gragson on the inside in a fight to get into the top 20, LaJoie's car made contact with the back of Gragson's vehicle.

LaJoie's car which veered left after the collision, and LaJoie soon found himself upside-down and airborne. His car then skidded on its roof down the track before rolling multiple times once it reached the infield grass.

"That's just about the way the year's gone," LaJoie said Monday after being released from the infield care center. "We have a good car and I find a way to flip it upside down.

"Twice this year we've been upside down and I've never been upside down in my whole career. That's just how the year for our No. 7 team has been."

Here's a look at the crash and how it went down.
