It took an extra day, but NASCAR's best and brightest took the stage during this weekend's FireKeepers Casino 400.

The race — held Michigan International Speedway, one of the more storied tracks on the Cup Series calendars — was about as consequential as it gets. With just three races remaining in the regular season, the drivers hovering around the cut line find themselves with precious few chances to make their claim for postseason qualification.

Such pressure was felt by Ty Gibbs, Bubba Wallace, Ross Chastain and Chris Buescher, all of whom entered Sunday's race needing a bit more security for their playoff chances.

Following the drama of last week's race and finish, it's easy to understand why some fans expected to letdown this weekend. What they got was a marvel of race, teeming with thrills, spills, and burnt rubber.

When the dust settled and the carnage had screeched to a halt, only one driver could frolic through victory lane. Here's what you need to know about the results of this weekend's race at Michigan International Speedway.

Who won the NASCAR race today?

After a delay to Sunday's contest, NASCAR picked up action in Michigan on Monday. After the postponement, Tyler Reddick came away with the win.

The No. 45 car beat out William Byron, Ty Gibbs and Kyle Busch to pick up his seventh win in his career on the NASCAR Cup Series and second in 2024.

With the win, he overtakes second place in the standings, passing Chase Elliott for the spot behind Kyle Larson.
