Aaron Ramsdale’s future at Arsenal remains uncertain as Wolves have expressed interest in signing the goalkeeper.

Ramsdale, who lost his starting spot to David Raya last season, might be on his way out of the Emirates Stadium before the transfer window closes.

Wolves have reportedly made a proposal to bring Ramsdale to Molineux on a loan deal with an option to buy. According to sources, the West Midlands club would cover most of Ramsdale’s wages if the deal goes through.

However, the financial aspects of the move could pose challenges, making it unclear whether the transfer will materialize.

Wolves’ & Ajax interest on Ramsdale

The talks between Wolves and Arsenal are ongoing, though there has been no confirmation on whether Wolves’ backup goalkeeper, Dan Bentley, will be involved in the discussions. Arsenal, however, are said to prefer a permanent sale rather than letting Ramsdale leave on loan.

Wolves are not the only club eyeing Ramsdale. Ajax recently made a loan offer for the 26-year-old, which was swiftly rejected by Arsenal. Despite the initial rejection, the Dutch club remains interested in securing Ramsdale’s services and is hopeful a deal can be reached.

Ramsdale has openly expressed his frustration over his lack of playing time since Raya’s arrival. Speaking before Euro 2024, he told talkSPORT, "No footballer wants to not play. I’ve had a tough year personally not playing, and I never want to do that again."

Mikel Arteta, Arsenal’s manager, has remained tight-lipped about Ramsdale’s future, stating back in April, "There is a big reality that Aaron will be here because he is our player and has a contract." However, with interest from other clubs growing, Arsenal may face a tough decision in the coming days.
