The American Legion World Series championship game is set for Tuesday evening, with Midland (Mich.) taking on Troy (Ala.) Post 70.

Back in the ALWS for the third time in four years, Midland is undefeated in tournament play, with a pristine 4-0 record. In Monday's semifinal matchup, Midland defeated League City (Texas) Post 554 — the reigning champions — in a narrow 1-0 victory.

Troy defeated the Wilmington Delvets (Del.), 4-0, in Monday's second semifinal to clinch a berth in Tuesday's championship game. That makes two consecutive shutout victories for Troy, which blanked League City in its previous matchup.
