The San Francisco 49ers have a true star on their hands.

Brandon Aiyuk is one of the best receivers in football and clearly is an important piece of the 49ers' offense. San Francisco is hoping to get over the hump and get back to the Super Bowl in 2024 and Aiyuk is an important part of its plans.

While this is the case, he has been in trade rumors for weeks. He still could stay in San Francisco, but the Pittsburgh Steelers still have been heavily linked to him. It's unclear if they will get a deal done, but they seem to be offering a second-round draft pick for him, according to Bleacher Report's Jack Murray and Gerry Dulac of KDKA-TV.

"The Pittsburgh Steelers are not looking to lose any players in a potential Brandon Aiyuk trade," Murray said. "During an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, Gerry Dulac of KDKA-TV reported that the Steelers' trade offer to the San Francisco 49ers included a second-round pick and some potential lower picks but did not include any players.

"The Steelers, I was told, were not going to offer any players in the trade," Dulac said. "They were going to offer draft picks, a number two, and then something else. I guess they are just kind of waiting to see what the 49ers decide to do."

At this point, Aiyuk seems to be worth more to the 49ers than a second-round draft pick. If Pittsburgh isn't willing to include more in a possible deal, then the 49ers certainly should hang on to him rather than dealing one of the best receivers in football for a bad package.
